Mostif, Fatorma Patrick, Richards, Nicholas Trocchia, Hewitt with JURY DEMAND.Document filed by Jeremiah Jerome Griffin. Related document: [57] Amended Complaint.
2024-11-20 ORDER: Plaintiff has not filed an amended complaint despite the Court's repeated extensions and reminders to plaintiff that failure to file an amended complaint would result in the case being closed. The complaint is dismissed with prejudice and the Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to close the case. SO ORDERED. (Signed by Judge Arun Subramanian on 11/20/2024)
2024-09-24 ORDER: Because Plaintiff appears to have filed his most recent request for an extension prior to receipt of the Court's September 16, 2024 Order, his request for an extension is GRANTED in part. 2024-09-16 ORDER: Pursuant to the Court's June 18, 2024 Opinion and Order, ECF No. 73, Plaintiff was informed that, should he wish to file a final amended complaint, the deadline to do so was August 26, 2024. 2024-06-18 OPINION AND ORDER: For the reasons described above, Griffin's fifth amended complaint is DISMISSED. Defendants say that the dismissal should be with prejudice because any amendment would be futile. But since the Court mainly dismisses Griffin's complaint based on his failure to allege sufficient facts, rather than a legal defect, the Court will give Griffin one last opportunity to amend. Griffin should file an amended complaint no later than August 26, 2024, Griffin should restrict the amended complaint solely to those events that he believes give rise to viable claims, and his complaint must describe all the facts Griffin can recall related to the events at issue (e.g., who was involved, what those people said and did during the events, how long the events lasted, the specific circumstances leading up to the events, etc.). This will be Griffins last chance to amend. The Court certifies under 28 U.S.C. 1915(a)(3) that any appeal from this order would not
